Our Mission

ART WALK FOR KIDS/ADULTS™ developed into an Outreach Program in January, 2000 with the mission of focusing on benefiting artists with disabilities- special needs, autistic, learning disabled, and at-risk youth and adults in their positive environments through weekly art work shops.

Our Philosophy: "Set a Course for Positive Self-Expression  Through Which  The Doors of Opportunity Will Open!"

At-Risk youth receive academic credit, Carnegie Credit, toward graduation upon completion of the ART WALK curriculum.

ART WALK FOR KIDS/ADULTS Our Goal: To improve and enhance a sense of confidence, well being and better self esteem for the Art Walk Artists that come through our doors! It is also a work in progress in that the curriculum enlightens and identifies creative natural talents in all of us and nurtures the self confidence needed to accomplish  personal goals. This unique approach to education through teaching the techniques of the Great Artists is designed to affect self-reinforcing  positive self-expression.

Benefiting: Youth at the Los Prietos Boys Camp, Tri-Counties Boot Camp, Hillside House, Santa Barbara Juvenile Hall, El Puente Court School, Villa Esperanza, Devereux-California, the United Way's "Fun in the Sun" Program for underprivileged youth, the Cancer Hope Foundation's "Camp Keepsake" and the American Cancer Society's "Camp Reach for the Stars" for youth and adults living with cancer, and the Bryant Youth and Family Mentorship Program, Hope School District Vieja Valley School, Hillside House for Developmentally disabled adults and Chagall House for autistic adults.
